The Real Deal initiative will see market traders, Lancashire County Council Trading Standards service, and Morecambe Market unite to crack down on counterfeits which damage honest businesses and see criminals profit from the proceeds. Continue reading

Leicestershire Markets Use the Real Deal to promote Fake Free Zones

Markets in Hinckley, Melton Mowbray and Loughborough have all joined the Real Deal scheme, which is being promoted as part of Leicestershire County Council’s ‘Fake Free Zone’ campaign.

It is an excellent example of the flexibility of the Real Deal scheme and how it can be incorporated into other council-run fair trading initiatives.

 

Bradford Bazaar Joins the Real Deal

Bradford Bazaar has become the first privately run market in West Yorkshire to join the Real Deal scheme. Select4 Ltd, the company which runs the market on Cemetry Road, Bradford, signed the Real Deal charter with West Yorkshire Trading Standards Service following the lead established by Bradford Council, which signed the charter for all the Council-run markets last year.
