The Mayor of Wokingham joined with market personnel, traders and trading standards to celebrate Wokingham Market joining the Real Deal scheme. The market is the first in the area to sign the Real Deal Charter with Wokingham and West Berkshire Trading Standards Service.

Campaign Director, Patricia Lennon, praised their joint commitment to fake-free trading, saying: “Displaying the Real Deal logo provides an assurance that Wokingham Market is a safe, fair market venue, where people can enjoy shopping for genuine bargains. It also shows that the council is committed to helping legitimate businesses by driving out unfair competition from any would-be traders in counterfeit goods.”
