Spitalfields Traders Market is the ‘Real Deal’

Spitalfields Traders Market signed up to the Real Deal national charter on Wednesday 13 November reconfirming their commitment to safe and fair trading.

Spitalfields Traders Market, in conjunction with Tower Hamlets Council’s Trading Standards Service, officially signed the charter and have pledged to continue to ensure that fake goods and other illicit items are not sold on the market.
Spitalfields Traders Market is the first privately run market in Tower Hamlets to join the Real Deal scheme. It joins the council’s ten street markets, which signed up to the charter in 2010. Real Deal means that market officials and traders have signed up to a code of practice to ‘self-police’ the markets and take action if they spot anything suspicious.
